Instead of a summer vacation this year, Jerod took his time off to build a new deck on our house. I've always wanted to post "before" and "after" photos like this, because it makes things seem like they were built over night, instead of the actual 2 weeks. Either way though, it amazes me that my husband, who spends 40 hours a week in an office, can also build things like this! (with help from a few other key players, of course.) So here we are:

It's so nice to have a space where we can host a larger gathering of 6+ people -it's actually the only space in our home where we can host larger gatherings. So I guess we'll find out this winter how our friends feel about outdoor BBQs in December.
